Oh dear. I'm going to have to make some excuses now for my tardiness (no, not my tardis, I haven't got one of those but if I did it would be my scrapping space and yes, it would still have David Tennant in it).
The thing is, it's very hot here. And I'm very busy because it's the end of term. And I have lots of non-school related things to do like go and listen to Youngest's teachers telling me how dangerous he is, and putting together a chipboard book that my man's daughter wants yesterday when she only gave it to me today. And the Alice In Wonderland circle journal type thing that I am doing, honestly Marit if you're reading this.
SO, here is my LO for this week's Scrapwhispers challenge.
I should really have posted this last week, when the challenge went up on the blog, and you still had time to join in. However, for those of you who haven't noticed, I'm often a bit of an idiot and this week is clearly no exception.
The good news, however, is that the prize for this challenge rolls over into the next challenge - it's a Basic Grey Lemonade collection - how cool is that?! Just enter for Challenge 34, Challenge 35 or both, and get the chance to win this fabby prize!
Anyway, this page is entitled 'One of a Kind' and shows my sister with her first child, who was born when she was 19. I love these pics because she looks quite Liz Hurley-like, all sixties and willowy. I used my lovely new gesso on the embossed cardstock, and some yummy October Afternoon paper. I'm actually trying to do plenty of layering and use up my stash, but recently I've got into using paint on the base cardstock and then I don't want to cover it up too much!
It really is very warm today; I spent three hours on the barbeque at the school fete, burning burgers and sausages to a crisp because if they were any less cooked, people brought them back and said Look, they're pink in the middle. I think we should have done two lots, one labelled 'broken teeth' and the other labelled 'food poisoning' and then they could have chosen which one they preferred.
My dog liked it, though, he has a bowl full of charred beefburgers for his dinner today.
Now, I was going to show you a pic of the cakes at the House of Commons, but my laptop is feeling about as energetic as me, and won't upload it. Stupid internet connection.
