Well hello! And Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and still has enough money left to eat for the next month. I don't, but there you go....:D
Now, I'm not too hot on New Year's Resolutions. In fact, the whole New Year thing leaves me a bit cold in terms of going out and getting rat-bottomed. If it's with a group of friends or families, not too bad - but all those people hell-bent on drinking as much as possible by midnight.....ewwwww!
However, I usually do make a resolution or two, nothing terribly ambitious. And this year I've made myself a timetable. What with all the studying, and work, and clearing up after these beep kids - don't get me started on that one today! - I thought I'd see how I get on with a schedule of some sort. And Tuesday night is Blog Night.
So, without further ado, and because I can't charge my camera, I am going to show you the projects I completed for a recent guest DT slot. They are actually still on my desk, albeit up here where I scanned them. Hopefully by next week I will have found my camera charger and, erm, cleared up my scrap desk.....:S
We were given these lovely MME Christmas papers to work with. I struggled a bit with this one - the colours in the photo weren't really right for the papers but I didn't want to print it out again.
These are some slightly ropey photos of a lovely trip we used to take every Christmas on the Santa Express, paid for by my ex-boyfriend's mum.
Here, as you can see, Daughter is conveniently wearing clothes which coordinate with the supplies. These pics are about 13 years old - great to get them scrapped at last!
These are a couple of years old - Invisible Teenager's first Christmas away from home and the sweet little tree they had in their old flat. They're in another flat now, much larger, and this year's tree was enormous. But the Frankie Boyle angel still lives and was perched on a sort of coffee-table tree which looked suspiciously like a bit off the top of a larger one!
Now, another resolution I have made, which is in danger of evaporating extremely quickly, is to time myself doing certain online activities. One is playing games, and another is blog-hopping. I don't know how it's going to work yet, in terms of visiting WOYWW blogs, but I'm hoping to do as many ten-minute stints as I can, and I will probably start from the front one week and the back the next!
Oh, and the guest DT spot was here - I've linked to the shop page because they're so lovely at ATDML and although I don't want to advertise on WOYWW, I'm making an exception! Scroll down a few inches and you'll see the gallery link.
Happy WOYWWing, folks!

Happy, happy new year Helen! May all your dreams come true and all your schedules work (*teehee*)

Frankie Boyle as an angel -hahahahahahahaha!! That's the funniest thing I've seen all week :) Just love it.
While I'm not big on resolutions, 'Just Do It' is going to be my motto of 2012, as I could prevaricate for England!!
Happy New Year!

Happy New Year (from one who might have had one glass of wine before midnight)and I totally agree, why get blathered and miss all the fun.
Lovely LO's up there - how good to do one so co-ordinated (even if a long time after photos were taken LOL)

I think modest resolutions are the best and the most likely ones to succeed! Great scrap pages. Even though the photo and papers didn't match on your first shared page it wasn't glaring, so you did well!

Like you, I'm not into the New Year's thing. Instead of resolutions I chose a word to concentrate on this year.
And I'm so glad to hear that you will be starting at the bottom reading the WOYWW entries because I am ALWAYS at the bottom. This week I'm #92!!! Holy moly. Being in the US has it's disadvantages!

Great to see you Helen, I totally understand about a resolution about blogging time...it can eat up hours...good luck with it!! As usual, love the Los, how do you know when they're finished, I do not have that skill.

I hope your system of visiting works better than mine. I have a new one each week but, in general, they all fail due to my butterfly mind. Your layouts are great. Well done to your daughter for knowing 13 years ago that you would want her in those colours to match your paper. It is great when a plan comes together. Happy 2012 Maggie #72
