Okay, this is going to be a bit rushed because I'm supposed to be going to see War Horse in a minute. Maybe I won't go because Youngest went out for a run one and a half hours ago, and hasn't come back yet. Oooer.
Today, sorry, yesterday (aha, he has just returned!) we went on a Valentine's outing to Farnham, because Farnham is where we want to go and see Larry Miller, and we thought we'd scope out the B&Bs. As soon as we arrived we spotted an antiques shop so nipped in there for a quick look. Not very quick, as it happened, because it was housed in an old mill and just kept going up, and round, and round, and up...
Pretty soon after we got through the door, my man spotted a bow. No, not a dicky bow, an archery bow. You know the kind of thing - you pull the string back, the bow bends, creating tension...and then snaps in half.
Well, not in half exactly. But it was a very old bow and the noise it made whilst breaking sounded like a pistol shot. So my man hastily put it back and we bumbled around the room for a bit longer before deciding that he really ought to tell them what he'd done because it would be tres embarrassing should someone put a hand on his shoulder and say 'excuse me, sir, but I believe you just broke this bow and have tried to leave without paying for it'. It cost £15. And here is my man with his new bow
Also on my desk this week are a number of LOs. Unfortunately I didn't get around to photographing them in daylight, so here is one being held at arm's length by yours truly
I have some other photos but have just realised that they are in the drawer, inside my camera, inside the camera case, blah blah, so will maybe upload them another day!
Now, if you don't know what all this malarkey is about because you have been under a stone for a thousand years, hop over to Julia's blog where all will become clear.
And happy WOYW Wednesday!
How fab seeing War Horse. I am undecided what to do, if it has an unhappy ending I will make a show of myself. Maybe I am better waiting until I can watch it on tv.
Fab bow your hubby got and great LO you did of you two (I presume it is you two).
You still have time to sign up for my blog candy - it ends tonight - Hugs, Neet 29 xx
